Has Facebook reached the point of no return?
Just recently I have met a number of personal contacts, business owners and like minded professional persons whom work in the service sector, and they are fed up with the abusive nature of Facebook comments.
So my question on this blog today is this, is Facebook losing its credibility?
Utilising this form of public space to make comments from the relevant safety of one’s PC may have far deeper reaching effects than initially thought, and it seems to me more and more recently these comments are starting to have an effect on business perception, and more importantly the personal perception too.
It is interesting to note that the person whom is making the comment is not the one the anger is thrown at more the fact that Facebook offers the forum in the first place.
If anyone else has any thoughts on this subject I would love to hear your comments, and experiences on this.
PS:
One thing to always bear in mind once posted a comment can be deleted, or can it… has the horse bolted? Once deleted is it really deleted?
