One would think that this is a logical process and simple to implement, a clear no nonsense approach to good branding, corporate positioning and an uncluttered message that speaks to the right audience.

Well on the face of it it is simple, but there always seems to be some exceptions to the rule.

Clear communications either internal or external, need to be exactly that clear. Keep brand consistency, keep the same messages, and use a branding device that can hold well for all media.

Online ensure there is no confusion between the real world and the virtual one, do not hand out a business card at a meeting, so the end result when that person looks up your business online they see another set of logos and branded messages to the one they met in the real world.

Clear and strong communications across all media will strengthen positioning, worrying about the tiny little legalities and allowing these to spoil the overall messages will only result on one thing confusion.
